Moroccan authorities target Saharawi children in the occupied zone of Western Sahara

Reports by Saharawi human rights organisations asserted that Moroccan police is targeting, arresting and torturing Saharawi children in the occupied zones of Western Sahara.
The Collective of Saharawi Human Rights Defenders (CODESA) indicated in a press release on Friday that the Moroccan police arrest, torture and harass Saharawi children in primary and secondary schools.
The Saharawi Association of the Victims of Flagrant Human Rights Violations Committed by the Moroccan State (ASVDH) indicated on its side that the Moroccan police undertook a big operation of arrest against Saharawi children inthis period of examinations.
The forces of police “tried to break in the house of the family of the Saharawi child, Nafai SAH, but his family resisted this attempt and pushed the police agents away”, ASVDH indicated in a press release issued on Friday .
11 Saharawi children, at least, have been victim to arrest and torture, and many other cases remain undocumented, sources from the occupied El Aaiun indicated to UPES.
