Sahrawi President, Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz, said in a speech delivered on the occasion of commemorating the 37th anniversary of “Zemla” uprising that he had doubts on the intention of Morocco to make the success of talks due to be held today between the Polisario Front and Morocco in Manhasset in New York.
“The behaviour of the other part in the conflict does not show a good intention and a sincere will at all to reach a political solution”, he said.
Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz affirmed the sincere intention of the Polisario Front concerning their talks with Morocco.
On the other hand, Sahrawi President called for the necessity of expanding the prerogatives of the MINURSO (the United Nations Mission for the Referendum in Western Sahara) to include the protection of Sharawi citizens in the occupied territories.
During the celebration, Sahrawi President inaugurated several public facilities in the fourth military zone in liberated territories in Western Sahara.
It’s worth mentioning that a delegation from Algeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs participated in the celebration of the 37th anniversary of “Zemla” uprising.
